A picture posted on the Facebook page for Winston-Salem shows a Winston-Salem police officer helping a mother and toddler get out of the pouring rain. (WXII 12 News/Facebook)   It was cold, wet and gray in Winston-Salem, N.C., when Police Officer Charlie Ziegler noticed a woman pushing a stroller in the rain. “I went up to her and said, ‘Get in the car, there’s no reason for you or your baby to be out here,’” Ziegler told ABC News.
